Stefan Arbanowski

Stefan Arbanowski is heading the Future Applications and Media department at Fraunhofer Institute FOKUS in Berlin, Germany. He received his Ph.D (2003) and M.Sc. (1996) in computer science from the Technical University Berlin, Germany. He gave lectures in broadband networks, mobile communications, service platforms, and middleware technologies at TUB. Since 1995, he participated several national and international joint research projects related to service platforms, middleware technologies, rich media, mobile and personal communications. Currently, he is coordinating Fraunhofer' Future Applications and Media Lab, bundling expertise in the areas of interactive applications, media and metadata handling, telecommunications, and next generation networks. The Lab channels those activities towards networked media environments featuring live, on demand, context-aware, and personalized interactive media. He is elected eMobility ETP Steering Board member and was chairman elect of the Wireless World Research Forum (WWRF) Service Platform Working Group for 4 years.
