Mirko Presser
Mirko Presser is a research and innovation specialist at the Alexandra Institute where he is working
on the Internet of Things in the context of Caretech Innovation. He has been studying and working in the research area
the "Internet of Things" for the past 7 years, during which he has published over 20 scientific peer-reviewed papers on the
topic. He has a Masters degree (MSci) in Physics with Astrophysics and a Masters degree (MSc) in Telecommunications
from the University of Bristol and has recently completed his PhD entitled "Efficient WSN Integration into the IP
Multimedia Subsystem" at the University of Surrey. He has also been strongly involved in the European FP6 and
FP7 ICT programmes (resulting in over 20 applications) and has been the Technical Manager of the FP6 IST e-SENSE
and FP7 ICT SENSEI projects, both addressing the Internet of Things. He has also been the caretaker of the Future
Internet Assembly on the Internet of Things to which he still actively contributes.
