Mats Nilsson

Mats Nilsson has more than 20 years of driving experience particularily in the field of mobile communications. He joined Ericsson 1987. Became responsible for Mobile Communications technology at Nippon Ericsson 1990, also acted as Key Account Manager responsible for Ericssons business with NTT DoCoMo. returned to Ericsson HQ in 1992. Between 1992 and 1998 Director responsible for Ericssons technical strategies for mobile communications. 1998-2004 VP and head of standardisation for the Ericsson Group. During 2005 CEO of OMTP ltd. 2006-2008 Head of Portfolio Mangement and Terminals for Ericssons Multimedia Solutions. Since 2009 VP and head of European affairs for the Ericsson Group, stationed in Brussels. With such a background having experienced and facilitated all the key steps of mobile communication like GSM becomming the Global standard of our history, the transition towards mobile broadband with UMTS and LTE as well as all the application layer and device issues that are now rapidly enabling a new world of connected services.
